With a traditional designer, you often pay an hourly rate or a non-refundable consultation or site-visit fee before you know what the full project will cost. With Reland, you start with a short quiz and get a clear, personalized offer up front, with no obligation and no payment required to see it. You know the scope and the price before you commit to anything.

You’re also not just handed off to a designer. Every project runs through a structured process with a dedicated project manager guiding it, so the experience stays clear from start to finish.

And your plan belongs to you. You’re never locked into a specific contractor or builder. You’re free to take your plan to whoever you choose, or build parts of it yourself.

Pricing is based mainly on backyard size, project complexity, and the planning depth your project requires. Our “starting at” prices reflect typical backyards with a standard project scope. Larger properties, projects with many features, or unusual complexity may require adjusted pricing regardless of the package you choose. That’s why we recommend starting with the quiz: it lets us send you a personalized offer based on your actual project, not a generic estimate.

A revision round is a chance to adjust your plan after you’ve reviewed it, based on your feedback. It’s for more substantial changes, like reworking how the main zones connect or swapping a paved patio for a deck, rather than small clarifications and minor tweaks, which are just part of the normal process.

The On-Site Plan includes one revision round. With the Online Plan, revisions can be added whenever your project needs them.

Yes. Your plan belongs to you, and you can use it with any contractor or specialist you choose.

With our Online and On-Site Plans, the layout, materials, and planting are clearly documented, so contractors can quote accurately, estimates are easier to compare, and everyone works from the same expectations.

The Concept Plan works a little differently. It gives you a clear design direction and a solid understanding of your space where its main areas go. It doesn’t include full material and planting selections or construction details, but it still gives a contractor a much stronger starting point than most projects without a plan ever will, and you can use it to tackle parts of the project yourself. You can also upgrade to a full plan whenever you’re ready.

AI tools can be genuinely useful for inspiration, and we encourage homeowners to explore them when looking for ideas, references, or style direction.

But our process is fundamentally different because it starts with your actual yard: measurements, conditions, sun exposure, drainage, existing vegetation, and how you’ll really use the space. A tool can suggest plants, but it can’t judge what will thrive where or how everything fits together as one space. That judgment is the design.

From there, we develop a structured landscape plan that explains how the space functions, how the elements work together, and how the project can realistically be built. The renderings come last, grounded in real decisions about livability, function, and buildability, not just images that look good.

You don’t need to arrive with answers or know how any of it works.
